About the Artists

The emerging artist Sidney Edwards in collaboration with neuroscientist Guadalupe Astorga, present an exhibit that includes a selection of works that use scientific knowledge to interact with the audience in a creative experimentation. The collaboration intends to explore perception of an art object by using sensorial stimulation to investigate it’s influence on the observer.

Sidney Edwards has been a practicing creative problem solver for over 25 years working as an illustrator, graphic designer and fine artist and most currently studied with the internationally recognized master Paul Ching-Bor at the Art Students League in New York City.

Always inspired by the natural world around him, Edwards works attempt to cure his insatiable curiosity to create thought provoking fine art.

His collaboration for his latest works with the neuroscientist Guadalupe Astorga, was initiated after an inspiring discussion about her research in the Rockefeller University, where she studies the effect of contextual information on sensorial perception.
