After a summer 2020 cancellation and a winter 2021 pivot to takeout and delivery only, NYC Restaurant Week returns with a full slate of restaurants offering in-person dining. This year's summer edition of Restaurant Week runs from July 19th to August 22nd, with over 500 restaurants representing the cuisine of over 30 different countries.

A More Affordable Night on the Town

This year's Restaurant Week standard options range from $21 to $39 for a lunch or dinner seating. Organizers have curated several collections of restaurants, including James Beard award winners and restaurants featured on television. Participating restaurants may not be offering event prices for all meals, so do confirm while you are booking your table to avoid a surprise when you arrive. The program is not in effect on Saturdays and Sunday participation is optional, so weekday reservations are your best bet. Restaurants may only be participating for a week or two of the event or only for certain meals, so be sure to check the details when you reserve a table. Many participating restaurants have outdoor seating, but if you are not comfortable eating on-site or you just don't have the time for a sit-down meal, some participants are offering takeout or delivery options. If you're really looking to treat yourself, this year features the Signature Dining Experience. For $125, you can experience a minimum three-course meal, with additional perks like meeting the chef or special menu items being encouraged by event organizers. With restaurants in every borough, it's a great chance to find a new favorite in your neighborhood.
