SoftInWay Inc. is an industry leading R&D engineering company that specializes in the development of efficient turbomachinery and power plants. We offer our industry leading software platform, AxSTREAM ® which allows us to design, analyze and optimize different types of machines such as turbines, compressors, turbochargers, power plants, rocket engines and so on. Currently, we are a global company with five offices and support over 300 clients in a number of different industries including automotive, aerospace, HVAC, appliance, refrigeration, and clean energy with our software and services. Our New York Sales and Marketing office, under subsidiary Green Energy Technology Labs, is our most recent location and was opened to further fuel the growth of our company. But of course, every business has a story and ours began nearly 20 years ago in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Our company was founded in 1999 as a small, but determined engineering consulting company specializing in the development of steam and gas turbines. As we started to grow, we realized we needed more efficient tools to conduct or work and keep up with growing demand so we developed an in-house software suite. As a result of several more years in the industry and customer request, we commercialized this software package, calling it AxSTREAM. Since then, our development philosophy in the industry has been based off of our experience working with our customers and understanding what challenges and needs they have and how we can help them solve these challenges. That combined with our ambitious team has made us the company we are today.
One of my favorite clients to work with was the Industrial Research Institute of Taiwan (ITRI). This company, a leader in the Taiwanese high tech and clean energy initiatives, wanted to develop a new type of organic Rankine cycle turbine that would deliver an efficient and environmentally friendly machine for heating/alternative energy generation application. Through the use of our software, ITRI was able to create such a machine which exceeded the initial goal of the project producing more power at a greater level of efficiency than initially requested.
Blue Origin is another favorite of mine. This is an especially cool company for anyone interested in space exploration as they specialize in aerospace research and development. They used our software AxSTREAM to design an axial turbine for their turbopumps for rocket ship engine application. The project was a success and we look forward to working with them more in the future!
When I started looking for office space in New York, I had a specific criteria in mind. Of course the space had to be affordable and conveniently located, but I also wanted to find a place with a community. Although I looked at a number of different spaces throughout my search, none of them stood out the way Broadway Suites did. Not only did the building come with all the bells and whistles including boardrooms, a receptionist a doorman, and a number of different office spaces to choose from, all the people that I have come across have been friendly, approachable and happy to chat about whatever comes to mind! My team and I have been here for three years now and we are looking forward to more years to come.

Breakfast to start the day...Russ & Daughters by far. It’s a bit of a hike as it’s located in East Village but well worth the trip. Try the everything bagel with cream cheese, Nova Scotia lox onion and pepper. It’s super filling and so delicious.
